Adventure Time composer Tim Kiefer has this belated Easter gift for us: the instrumental bed of NEPTR’s rap from “Hot to the Touch.” Tim says:
Pen wanted to stay true to the feel of Rebecca’s demo, so I asked myself: what would Wu-Tang Clan do? Well, chances are they’d power on the MPC, pull out a crate of records and go to town flipping old samples into dope beats. Fortunately, I had the Adventure Time equivalent to sample-ready dusty vinyl: my near-ancient NEPTR music from season 1! Cut ‘n’ pasting, pitching and reversing transformed this old material into the clattery bumpin’ beat presented here. Enjoy!Thanks, Tim.
